Ministries - Los Ministerios En Español

Bible Study
Bible Study in offered in both Spanish and English. Spanish is offered in a short series format in preparation for our Liturgical seasons of Advent, Lent, Easter and Ordinary Time and also each Wednesday throughout the year at 4:45 p.m. Bible study in English is held each Sunday at 9:45 a.m. For further information, please check our parish bulletin or call the parish office (408) 283-8100, extension 2220.

Spiritual Retreats
Day-long bilingual retreats are held during Advent and Lent. Check with the parish office or bulletin for upcoming dates.

Social Ministry
Providing services to the homeless and those in need in our community, the Office of Social Ministry offers valuable resources such as emergency food, shelter, job opportunities, medical services and above all, hope. Morning Outreach
The morning ministry program was started many years ago with the help of our parishioners. All year long, each Saturday morning, volunteer teams of adults and students prepare and serve breakfast to the residents of the InnVision Shelter. If you would like to join them, please contact the parish office at 408-283-8100, ext. 2200, and leave a message for Maria Lira, Program Coordinator.

Ministry to the Sick or Homebound
If someone you know is ill or homebound and would like to receive the Eucharist in their home, please call the parish office at 408-283-8100, extension 2200. We have Pastoral Care Ministers of the sick or homebound who can take Holy Communion to those who are unable to attend Mass.

Social Justice Committee
It's about Faith, Empowerment, Action, and a voice for those who have none. Please join them on the 3rd Sunday of each month after 11:30 Mass in the parish conference room.

Support for Sobriety
Alcoholics Anonymous meets on Wednesdays in Loyola Hall on a regular basis. A Spanish session runs from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m.; a gathering in English is held from 12:00 noon until 1:00 p.m. Alcoholics Anonymous welcomes anyone in recovery or looking toward the challenge of a sober future.

Hispanic Traditions
Please join the Hispanic Community of the Cathedral in celebrating Mañanitas, the Feast
of the Vírgen de Guadalupe and Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead). We also provide
the Presentation of the Children in some of our Spanish Masses.

Mass
We have three Masses in Spanish on Sundays: 10:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m. and
5:30 p.m. The first Sunday of the month, we celebrate the Misa Familiar (Family Mass)
at 1:00 p.m. with emphasis on children. Music is provided by our Coro de Niños
(Children's Choir).
