Musicians Master Classes workshop

When:  April 27 and 28, 2018
Where:  St. Joseph Cathedral Basilica
Time:  Friday 6:00 pm and Saturday  8:30 am to 5:30 pm
Registration:  $40.00 with pre ordered lunch or $25.00 without lunch  $0.00 with scholarship (does not include lunch) but you can order one for $15.00.

Friday evening begins with registration and hospitality beginning at 6:00 pm and a "New Music Concert" at 7:00 pm.
Tom Booth will be giving the keynote speech for the evening followed by a concert with Tom Booth and Jaime Cortez.
All you composers out there, you will also get a chance to share a song or two.  The Composer Forums
will begin in January to vet any songs that will be performed at the concert.

Saturday begins with hospitality at 8:30 am.  Classes will begin at 9:00 am.  This year we have three tracks - English,
Spanish, and a new bilingual track.  Tom Booth will facilitate the English track, Jaime Cortez will facilitate the
Spanish track and our new Director of Liturgy and Music Christopher Wemp will facilitate "Music theory basics for
the liturgical musician" bilingually.

Lunch will be from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm.  Registration with a pre-ordered lunch is $40.00.  Registration without
a pre-ordered lunch is $25.00.  This allows you to explore downtown San Jose and eat at one of the many restaurants
downtown.

This workshop is giving talented composers, singers, directors, and choirs a chance to expand your talents!

For those of you wishing to share your compositions , please come to the composer forums at the cathedral,
Monday January 8,  and Monday January 22.  The composer forums are at 7:00 pm in the parish hall at
St. Joseph Cathedral Basilica.  Any compositions submitted for the concert 
must be vetted in the forums to be performed in the concert.
