  • Become a Docent

    Dear Parishioners;

         Here is a great opportunity to make new friends and serve the Diocese of San José. Led by Bishop Oscar Cantú and Rev. Ernesto Orci, the Docent Association for the Cathedral Basilica of Saint Joseph offers parishioners an opportunity to make new friends and serve our community.

         Discover the art and the history of our amazing Saint Joseph Church from when it was first established. Learn about the local natives who helped build the first church, the early parishioners who funded the shrines, windows, stations of the cross, etc. and how our traditional church became a cathedral basilica with the modern floor plan we have today. Explore the whole story, become a volunteer guide and meet visitors from all over the world. Join our great team of docent volunteers.

         If you are interested in serving or have questions, please contact the Cathedral Docent Training Program via the contact information below. You can also email [email protected] or call the parish at (408) 283-8100.
