Called to Orders

With great joy I share this good news with you! I was called to orders by Bishop Cantú by letter on April 10, 2024.

Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,

I greet you with the joy of the Resurrection! Easter blessings! May God's triumph over sin and death give you a renewed hope for the life to come.

I also have good news to share with you. I was called to orders by Bishop Oscar Cantú by letter on April 10, 2024. It is a great honor and responsiblity to be called to be a priest of Jesus Christ and to serve the Church in San José. To be called to orders reminds me that I am not the initator of this vocation, but that it is God and the Church who invite me. I respond to this call with my life! May God be glorified in this vocation to Holy Orders and may I lovingly serve God and you in my priesthood and may I grow in holiness for the sake of God and for the salvation of my soul.

Bishop Oscar Cantú will ordain me to the priesthood on Saturday, May 25, 2024, 9:30AM at the Cathedral Basilica of Saint Joseph. The ordination mass is open to the public and you are invited and encouraged to come celebrate this joyful occasion. There will be blessings and a reception to follow.

I will celebrate my first mass on Saturday, May 25, 2024, 5:00PM at my home parish, Saint Martin of Tours. A dinner reception will follow the celebration of the mass in the school gym. The event is open to invitees and parishioners and you are invited! Please come and share in some food and drink as we give thanks to God for his blessings.

I will celebrate a Mass of Thanksgiving on Sunday, May 26, 2024, 8:30AM at the Cathedral Basilica of Saint Joseph. The event is open to the public and there will be coffee and donuts to follow in Loyola Hall. Please come and share in a light breakfast.
